Library doesn't work in Windows 2000
Hi! We have a problem with our backup system in which we use:
Compaq DL380,
Storage works SAN SWITCH8 Fabric SO v2.1.7
Storage works SAN SWITCH8 Fabric SO v2.1.7
Fibre Channel Storage Hub 12
Fibre Channel Tape Controller firm ware C9913A
TL890 Firm ware 5.14 Master Unit (I/magazine with 16 slots)
TL891 Firm ware 5.14 Slave Unit(I/magazine with 10 slots) - DLT1(35/70 - ID 2), DLT2(35/70 - ID 3)
TL891 Firmware 5.14 Slave Unit(w/magazine with 10 slots) - DLT3(35/70 - ID3)
When we fix DLT1 SCSI ID to 2, it holds it for some time, but then gets ID 5. We don't have a clue, and we are getting really frustrated because of this. Please help!!!
We have ARCServe 2000 installed, but the library isn't working, because DLT drive is falling out of configuration. The library should have all 3 DLT units together, but it happened that one DLT fell out of configuration and we had to reconfigure the library.
I would really appreciate some or any help. Could the problem be firmware(DLT drives, Tape Controller, TL891??) or what(hardware maybe?)?
As said before, any help would be appreciated, also some clues if possible.
If it can be done, please respond to these two mail addresses:
zoran.brinsek@atlantis.si or
sebastjan.videc@atlantis.si
Thanks in advance.
