Linux backup script on 24X6
We're running a custom backup script on our Linux servers, and recently the operation crashes and the log complains of one of the SCSI devices being set to read-only. Since the external 24X6 has two SCSI IDs, (one for the housing and one for the loader arm) we're pretty sure it's hardware related, but I'm not sure if there might be a corrupt Linux file that is used for the backup. Has anyone who runs Linux through a generic scripting method had it fail and complain of a read-only device? Thanks in advance for any help you can give...
