Logical drive lost when connecting tape from MSA1000
Hi to all,
I have an HP LTO2 library connected to MSA 1000 through ATTO fibre bridge. The connections seems okay from my existing server.Error occur when I configure now the tape using Netbackup, after the tape was detected from the said software, my logical drives was lost. See below details about this:
Windows - Delayed Write Failed
Windows was anable to save all the data for the file \Device\Harddisk\Volume3\$Extended\$UsnJrnl;$]. The data has been lost. This error maybe coused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewher.
For me to prevent this is just to unplug my tape device on MSA.
I'm hoping for your kindness on this matter.
Den

Re: Logical drive lost when connecting tape from MSA1000
Hi,
is it possible, those two devices have the same address?
just a thought,
Michael

Re: Logical drive lost when connecting tape from MSA1000
Hi,
Both hardware have unique address but I'm still receiving Low Delayed-Write Failed.
This are my specs
HP Proliant DL360
Windows 2000 Advance server / SP3
HBA card : Compaq KGPSA-xx
ATTO embedded bridge
HP LTO2 drive
A couple of question...
1. Do I have to upgrade my HBA card firmaware/driver? and where can able to find it?
2. Is Windows SP3 capable enough or should I use now SP4 instead?
This error happens only when I used and upgrade my tape box under fiber SAN.
Any suggestion?
Thanks
