Lost tape drive password

Dear all,

We are using HP MSL G3 Series tape library drive for a while and now we lost the password and we are unable to open the Mailslots.

We have physical access to the device, is there any way we could reset the password or open it somehow?

Your help would be really appreciated

Tape Library model is "HP StorageWorks MSL4048 Tape Library"

The password is lost for Administrator user

We password is 8 numeric characters and we have tried the common ones (00000000, 98765432,01234567)

The password can be generated with the Data and Time of the autoloader you should post the date and time or call Tape Storage at 800 633 3600 opt1 opt2 "LTO TAPE PROLIANT"

Just open a hardware case in the hp support, they can give you a temporal password based on the serial number and a parameters from the ocp
