MDR - Closed Map

In reading a whitepaper 14BU-0201A-WWEN. It states you can create a closed map for two NT servers. Thus allowing you to split the drives in the library and have systems only use those drive thru a specified port on the MDR. Can this be done for more than two servers and can they be of different Operating systems?

I have done it for exactly two servers, and they were different OS:es. I see no reason why you couldn't have more than two servers. I suppose there's a limit on the MDR how many connections it can handle.
