Maybe a stupid question, but I want to know if we just can replace our LTO3 Ultrium 960 Drive in the MSL 4048 TL with a new LTO5 Ultrium 3280 Drive.
Is this practicable or should we have to buy a whole new TL just to bring us up to LTO5?
Thx

Re: MSL 4048 replace LTO3 drive
As pointed out by Marino, you will need the LTO5 drive upgrade part as suggested. Additional resources are as follows ::
MSL 4048 tape drive upgrade matrix ::

Re: MSL 4048 replace LTO3 drive
I recognized that the BL532A (Upgrade Kit) and the BL532A (New 4048 TL) have the same price! Both arround 10k US$.
So what for there is a Upgrade Kit if the price is the same as a new one?
