MSL and 2nd Fibre Channel adapter?
We have an MSL5052 and an MSL6000 connected together as one unit with a single FC card installed to connect it to one of our SAN switches. Can a second FC card be added to these units so we can connect them to another SAN switch for redundancy? There's no mention of this in the manuals.

Re: MSL and 2nd Fibre Channel adapter?
I presume the FC card you are referring to is the storage router (NSR). If that is the case, each NSR will have to connect to both the fc port on the SAN switch and scsi port of the tape drives. If we were to connect the 2nd NSR to another SAN switch, there won't be additional scsi port on the tape drives available for the connection to the 2nd NSR, i.e. each tape drive has no dual-scsi port for multiple path access.

Re: MSL and 2nd Fibre Channel adapter?
Steve,
If you have two tape drives in each libray then you can install a second NSR. (one connected to each tape drive)
Each NSR can be connected to another switch.
A combination of one drive and two NSR is not supported
