MSL2024 on Backup Exec 10.0

We are having trouble getting backup exec to see the robotic changer. We are using a HP Single Channel Ultra320 SCSI HBA G2 as the SCSI adapter. The OS, W2K03, sees the drive and changer just fine. The unit is set to scsi id 5, lun 0 and lun 1. Any help with this would be appreciated.
Thanks
Mike

Re: MSL2024 on Backup Exec 10.0

Thanks, we have updated to 10.1 (10d) service pack 3 and still only see the drive at lun 0 not the robotic arm at lun 1. we are getting the following error in backup exec.

Re: MSL2024 on Backup Exec 10.0

it looks like the serial number is not reported. do you see it correctly at boot time?

Also be sure that you do not have another backup application that is taking the ownership of the robot, this may be a previous backup installation attempt or RSM from windows

You can try to diagnose the problem with L&TT

Re: MSL2024 on Backup Exec 10.0

Also I remember that using the NFR cd sent by Veritas there was several problems with autoloaders, if you have such version (build 5464) you should reinstall with the version available on their website (5520) http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/277181.htm? that version should work correctly with autoloaders

Re: MSL2024 on Backup Exec 10.0

Thanks, our current build is 5629 of backup exec 10.1 (10d). I'm not sure what the NFR disk you talk about is. It looks like the link that was in the previous post was for 10.0 not 10.1.

which leads to

all good now.
