I just installed a new MSL4048 G3 SCSI library.
In my old MSL6000 library, I could reserve 2 slots for cleaning tapes, but I can't find this option with the new library.
How should I go about to configure cleaning?
I am using Veritas NetBackup for my system. Should I configure NetBackup to be responsible for cleaning instead? If so, any best practice for this configuration?
Should I put bar codes on the cleaning tapes as well or should I leave them blank?
Thanks a lot for all the help.
Regards,
Thomas

Re: MSL4048 G3 cleaning configuration
Thanks for the feedback.
I have placed barcodes on my cleaning cartridges, but is that enough for the system to automatically do cleaning once needed?
Or do I have to do any further configuration?
Thanks.

Re: MSL4048 G3 cleaning configuration
I guess I might consider configuring cleaning in my backup software or do it completely manually.
