MSL4048 media error

Hello !

We have a MSL4048 with 1 LTO-5 drive. Tape library makes daily backups.

Sometimes there is an  media error in Command View MSL - see in attachment.

It's normally for tapes? Аfter this occurs, the backup program goes to the next tape. А broken tape is half-empty..

What to do in such a case?

if you had write problems for any reasons, the lib will mark the tape as bad (poor), even if it is good. Pull the magazine, pull the tape, insert the magazine, the pull it again and insert the tape. The tape is no longer marked then.
