MSL5026 Library Problem
All,
We have the library above fitted with two 110/220GB SDLT drives. When I access the library via L&TT, however, I get the "error occurred while the diagnostic function was started for the selected device". And it isn't possible to access the evnt logs as suggested.
Having browsed through a number of posts, I've already stopped the BackupExec services, the Insight Manager services, and the Removable Storage service, all to no avail.
The reason I'm trying to run the utility is because the two drives we're using seem unable to apply any kind of compression when running backups (using BENT8.6 on W2K). Hardware compression is enabled on the devices in BENT, and the jobs are configured to use hardware compression first, and software compression if hardware compression is unavailable. Any suggestions as to where the problem may lie?
