Re: MSL5026 Thermal Upgrade Kit

Paul,

The HP part number for the Network Storage Router e1200-160 (Embedded FC Network Storage Routers to connect SCSI library to Fibre Channel hub/switch) for the MSL5026 library is 330728-B21

best regards,
Kurt

Re: MSL5026 Thermal Upgrade Kit

Thanks for your prompt response Kurt however I am after the kit that is applied to the MSL when an FC is installed.
It comprises of a new top plate with a fan
attached and a Y power connector so the existing backplane fan can be attached as well.

Re: MSL5026 Thermal Upgrade Kit

Paul,

The manual for the thermal upgrade kit is found at http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/lpg29067/lpg29067.pdf

I do not find the part number of the kit itself, I guess 289159-002 is the part number of the manual itself.

best regards,
Kurt

Re: MSL5026 Thermal Upgrade Kit

If you are talking about the fan kit for the NSR E1200 module, the spare part # is 263643-001 or FD-65448-01. One description is a fan kit(E1200)0 and another is card cage fan (MSL5026). So I'm not exactly sure what you get with that part #.

The e1200 Opal, P/N 286694-B21, for the MSL5000 Opal libraries will include a cooling kit in the part number. It will be strongly recommended that services install this part number including the cooling kit. The e1200 Graphite, P/N 262672-B21, for the newer MSL5000 graphite libraries will not require the cooling kit. When the color change was implemented a cooling kit was installed in the library, so graphite MSL5000 libraries will not need a cooling kit or services to install the embedded router.

Hope that helps.
