MSL5026 problem
Hello,
I have MSL5026 with 2 SDLT drives, after fw upgrade (latest in drives and in library) it had been working fine for 1 week, yesterday it wnet wrong. I coulnt make backups.
Erros message> 90.59
ignite:/dev/rac/robot
Cannot open exchanger control device (Unit is not ready)
Can anybody help me?

Ferenc,
Start with checking the library physically. Any error messages on the library console? Is the robot arm blocked somehow?
Check the SCSI cabling and reboot the library once. Perform afterwards an 'ioscan -fnC autoch' on the HPUX server to make sure that the OS still detects the robot arm.

Power reset was necessary (disconnect the power cable).

It is not exactly a know error and fix method.
It is just a general habbit to examine the library first when it cannot be longer operated from a server any more.
