MSL6000 Backup Error
I am getting attached errors while trying to do a backup or format a tape.
Before this error occured for the first time last week, my client was doing backups just fine.
My understanding is that the robot could have a problem but then I'm not very sure.
Does anyone have a clue what could be the precise reason for this?
Kind regards,
Rianui

Re: MSL6000 Backup Error
In my view its a hardware problem.
Try a complete power off/power on, but it looks like a hardware call to me.

Re: MSL6000 Backup Error
Thanks Steven. I figured that it was a hardware issue.
Sahir, I'll need to go and check again. Last time I checked, I did it over the net while the tape was in the server room.
I'll post a reply soon.
Regards,
Rianui.

Re: MSL6000 Backup Error
Apologies for that.
The drive does not have any error displayed on the LCD screen.
The "Discover changed SCSI addresses" box is selected as well.

Has anyone figured out what could be bringing the backup errors yet?
Kindly let me know.
