Re: MSL6000 - E1200 bridge

The easiest thing tgo do is probably download Library and Tape Tool. There is a web update feature that does out and grabs the latest firmwares for all tape/library devices.

From there, you can also update the firmware with the utility.

Here are the Windows Downloads...

Re: MSL6000 - E1200 bridge

Can I also do the E1200 bridge from that utility?

Re: MSL6000 - E1200 bridge

Yes, provided that the controller LUN is mapped. If not, you could map it (temporarily) to the server running LT&T or update the E1200 via FTP.

Re: MSL6000 - E1200 bridge

It is a special SCSI LUN that represents the E1200 module so that a host can talk over Fibre Channel to it. I don't have the documentation with me, but I think the E1200 user interface calls it "AF".

Re: MSL6000 - E1200 bridge

Hi,

Is this really the right code for the NSR 1200-160?
I managed to download the code into the bridge through serial connection, and it asked for cold reboot. After doing that the bridge seems a bit dead... There is light in fc port, but I cannot contact it through the serial port.

When I read the release notes for the files, I see that the code is for StorageWorks Network Storage Router n1200-320, but I do not see the n1200-160 unit in there.
