MSL6000 Tape Library Drive support Hp ultrium data cartridge 800 GB ?
Dear all
we are currently using MSL6000 Tape Library Drive and Hp Ultrium data cartridge Ultrium LTO 2 400GB tape use for backup. currently tape space is almost filled, my question is what is maximum media supported in the MSL6000 Tape Library
can we used 600gb or 800GB for backup MSL6000 Tape Library support 800GB tape cartridge.

The MSL6000 is just the box - it depends on the installed drives!
What drives are currently installed?
Use for example the front panel and press
Status -> drive -> drive identification
What do you get?
I guess it is LTO2.
An LTO2 drive can only write to LTO2 tapes, but not to LTO3 or 4 tapes (this would be forward compatibility ;-))

2 Options:
- replace the drives with newer models
- add another box to your library
