MSL6000 door won't lock after firmware upgrade

my client is using msl6000 t/l and symantec backup exec 12 as their backup system. everything works fine until an msl6000 t/l firmware update (from f59w to f6aw) was carried out. after the update msl600 cannot be lock anymore by backupexec. i re-install the backup exec thinking it might do the trick. help is highly appreciated.
