MSL6006 backup so long!
Dear Experts,
My system include:
1. MSL6060 with 3 drive LTO_Ultrium 3
2. EVA8000
3. Server HP9000 rp7400
But it take so long for backup (50GB/hour). Please help me to find out the reason.
Many thanks,
QVU

Re: MSL6006 backup so long!
There are different possibilities
One could be a high number of small files.
Here the filesystem cannot deliver more!
Another would be IO limitations on the array!
I suggest you use the performance test capability of the free LTT (Library and Tape Tools) to find out the bottleneck!
Go here for information:

and here for the download of the tool:

Cheers
Peter
