MSL6030 4.27bios
The latest .bin file shows:
***
Release Notes for 4.27 (0427) library firmware:
These improvements are incremental to the last firmware release (4.23) and will further increase the overall reliability of your library.
Changes:
Fixed problem where the library becomes unresponsive when connected via Web Remote Interface (RMI).
***
While this is a nice fix, I was expecting to see an update to the default ftp address in the RMI for the next bios updates... It still points to ftp.compaq.com instead of at HP?
I do not want to have to update over 400 of these manually.
Any news on when this will get changed?
... paging Dave Ruska ... paging Super Dave?

Re: MSL6030 4.27bios
This should have been addressed in the 4.27 release. Can you verify this? If it is not changed we will investigate what happened.
If helpful, provide points!

Re: MSL6030 4.27bios
Yes, the library still points to the Compaq ftp:
Current remote directory is /pub/products/msl5000
Serial Number: 3G44LRP4PMBD
Module Type: Lightning
Module Configuration: Stand-alone (0/0/0)
Hardware Revision: 3
Firmware Revision: 4.27
Personality: HP/Compaq
Boot Version: 3
Current Local IP Address: XXX.XXX.XX.XXX (obtained from non-volatile configuration)
Partitioning: Disabled
Current Time: 00.00:17:05.386
I confirm this also with the MSLUtil 4.2
So... was the ftp fix actually in the bios update?

Re: MSL6030 4.27bios
Just checked another Library I updated... no change to the ftp address... so it was not a corruption in the bios or a shortfall. It's just not there...
Is another bios in the works to correct this or will it be another three months?
Can you poke Mr. Cross for an official answer?
