MSL6030, DataProtector 5.5, HP-UX 11.23 and SMI-S Agent Component

I posted this same message in the Management/DP forums. It is not totally related but am hoping to get greater exposure...

"I am trying to install the EVA SMI-S agent on a HP-UX 11.23 server and am having trouble. The output of the install command is as follows...

server1:/dp/DP55_HPUX_IA_IS_CD/LOCAL_INSTALL>./omnisetup.sh -install smisa

Data Protector version A.05.50 found
Client detected, installed packets: cc da ma oracle8


omnisetup.sh has got nothing to process, exiting...

I had no problems with the other agents, but this one give me NO information that I can use to ascertain WHY it does not want to install. Is there something I need to install before hand? or something I need to do before hand?

There was no SMISA agent for IA64 and HPUX

on the original CD

Support was added in the patch PHSS_33645

So basically Install the patch on your HPUX installation CD, Then launch the gui afterward, go to client context, right click and add components SMIS-Agent ...

Makes sense.

Can you tell me how I can get the component installed withOUT an Installation server?

My environment =

Windows DP Cell and 2 HP-UX 11.23 servers. Thus, I have no unix IS and don't plan on one.

The patch info would probably lead me to the answer, but I don't have a moment to look at it right this moment. Will though later today.

Can I merge the depot files somehow? or integrate them?
