MSL6030 Problem
Hello!
We have MSL6030 with 2 x HP Ultrium-4 drives on Windows 2003 Sp2 x64 host and Data Protector 6.0 backup software.
Every 10-15 days we have experiencing that Windows device manager loses Tape drives and Medium changer.
The backup then crashes and we have to turn off the library and restart DP services so the device manager would see the tape drives and media changer again (after rescan for hardware changes) and take the backup again from beggining.
We have latest patches both for library and tape drives.
Can anyone help?
Thanks!

Re: MSL6030 Problem
Hello,
have you tried to update your driver? Any events in the eventlog? RSM service is disabled and stopped?
Regards,
Patrick

Re: MSL6030 Problem
Patrick thanks for reply.
HP LTO-4 Ultrium driver version is 1.0.6.3 (10/7/2010).
HP StorageWorks MSL6000 Series Medium Changer driver version is 3.0.2.0 (6/17/2009).
I think that there is no newer driver version.
Please find window system log errors in attachment.
RSM service was stopped but not disabled. Now I have disabled it.
Regards!
