MSL6030 Upgrade - Strange Problem
Trying to upgrade an MSL6030 with brand new 4Gb FC Interface Card and LTO-4 drives.
Have upgraded host W2003 server with an Emulex FC2143 HP branded card, installed new drives and an e1200-320 4Gb FC card in library.
FC link is active and it does register some activity at startup.
However server is not seeing the library at all.
If I swap the e1200-320 for an old NS e1200-320 we had lying around (obsolete model) it can see the library and drives.
What am I doing wrong?
Neill

Re: MSL6030 Upgrade - Strange Problem
The old card may have had a config loaded already ?
Did you actually configure the new Interface card ? The configuration (which host sees what MSL device) is kept on the Interface board. So after installing the new board you need to configure it.
If this is a fabric connect, does the SAN Switch see the devices properly ?
best regards,
-Eric

Re: MSL6030 Upgrade - Strange Problem
I found out that I needed to configure the card after posting.
I set card to auto-sense the port and it seemed to do a mapping itself.
Current status is that the HBA can now see the E1200-320 but NOT the robot or tape drives.
Tried it with SCSIPort and Storport drivers.

Re: MSL6030 Upgrade - Strange Problem
Should also have mentioned this is a direct connection from server to MSL. No switch.
