Hi,
Anyone got an example of an LDAP configuration on an MSL6480?
I'm having a hard time getting it working, I would like to use designated Windows AD groups to map to the 'Administrator' or 'User' role.
Documentation is quite lacking for it.
Thanks,
Martien

Re: MSL6480 LDAP configuration
Hello,
At what step are you seeing the hang ups?
Are you using the Wizard on the library?
Regards,
Jeff

Re: MSL6480 LDAP configuration
Hi Jeff,
Sorry for the late response, guess I've missed the notification email about this topic.
We've got everything working for LDAP verification:
- LDAP server connected via specific service account used for binding.
- Correct location for users (distinguished names)
- We can add the LDAP users on the tape libary and those users can login
But I cannot find any way to link AD groups to those libraries., is that impossible?

SolutionHello Martien,
The current firmware allows only users but not groups to be added. This has been requested as an enhancement so this may make it in a future firmware release. Here's an article to Configure an LDAP in an MSL 6480 https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=a00041301en_us&docLocale=en_US
