When I take a DLT IV tape from my 40/80 drive and try to recycle it to a 35/70 drive it keeps asking for a cleaning tape. I don't want to read it, I want to reuse it. Tape previously formatted 35/70 work fine.

Short of using a big magnet, how can I force the DLT7000 to re-init the tape?
