Modular Data Router Drivers

Hi,

Having installed the modular data router into our Fibre Channel SAN we now receive a new hardware wizard on all the Win2k boxes. This wizard appears after every system restart prompting for drivers for the MDR. Are these drivers available? If not what is the recommended solution to this issue?

Many Thanks

Re: Modular Data Router Drivers

You need to firmware update to v1170, disable the SCC on the MDR.
At the AMC> setsccmode off
This will force a reboot of the MDR and the scsi map will change, and stop the Hardware Wizard on W2K.

Re: Modular Data Router Drivers

After we have disabled SCC, the servers connected to the datarouter doesn't recognize the Library!

Re: Modular Data Router Drivers

You need the 'Large LUN Utility' found on Compaq's web site. Exit the device configuration wizard and then run the utility on the machines that keep prompting for the MDR drivers. This will add support for the MDR (following next restart) and also large lun support for NT/2000.

The following URL will take you to the appropriate page for the utility, a link is on the left hand margin.

Re: Modular Data Router Drivers

I just assign the Microsoft Generic SCSI Device driver to it. Too bad you can't rename the devices.
