Netware 6.5 + ARCServe R11.1 + HP Storage Work DLT vs160 backup problem
Our server OS is Netware 6.5 and backup software is ARCServe R11.1 with backup tape HP Storage Work DLT vs160.
The speed of backup is very slow. Only 50MB/mins. I knew that the preformance can improve after configurations change like block size settings.
However, I don't like which files and parameters should be changed in the Netware environment. I tried to change some parameter in ASCONFIG.ini but no improvement found.
Please help!!! Thanks in advanced!

Re: Netware 6.5 + ARCServe R11.1 + HP Storage Work DLT vs160 backup problem
Hi.
I don't know about ARCServe, but we had a similar issue with Data Protector. Looks like the drive itself is a bit slow.
Regards,
Shishir

Re: Netware 6.5 + ARCServe R11.1 + HP Storage Work DLT vs160 backup problem
Thank you very much!
The problem is just fixed yesterday. The tape drive need to upgrade the firmware to the latest version. Moreover, Arcserve R11.1 need to install the patch which is released on 4-Oct. Only the patch release on 4-Oct can be installed. If you installed much more patch which release before 4-Oct, the problem cannot be solved. So stupid patch...
