No tape assure data available

Via Command View TL, I think I'm doing everything right but when I attempt to go to the tape assure tab and then the Drives->Utilization section it indicates, "No tape assure data available". What other steps do I need to take?

you do not explain what is the CVTL version, what is the library you want to get the tapea assure info from, and what is the FW of that library.
Also you may have a firewall preventing Lan communication on dedicated ports

no firewall; both are in the same subnet

from the library fw version it looks like you need to update the complete ESL bundle in order to use tapeassure
