Not recognizing media on Colorado 8G
I have an external Colorado 8G. When I try to backup it does not recognize the media. I have tried several tapes.

Re: Not recognizing media on Colorado 8G
Gene, try this. Run the retension command in the software. this cleans the drive. run the intitialize command but be aware it will erase any data. Finally, if you are successful doing those steps, insert the tape and listen to the drive. It should change directions 7 time and complete the process in 17 seconds. If it doesn't do this, it has probably failed.
