Openview dataprotector question

I have a one MSL 6000 tape unit ,and the dataprotector 5.5 software running on a windows 2003 server sp1.( san enviroment )
Is it possible to make 2 jobs run at the same time , what I mean is :
one backupjob to tape
and one backup to disk
I ask this because backup jobs running very slow , 40 Gb p/hour is the performance
all the comments are very welcome
