Problem in MSL 6000 Library

Hi,

We are facing problem with HP MSL 6000 library science last night. The Library is not accessible by any of our server. After restarting the library it is accessible, but for few hours; after that it is again inaccessible.

Please help me regarding this issue.

Re: Problem in MSL 6000 Library

"... by any of our server ..." sounds like this is FC connected, right?

In this case you should have a look at the NSR logs and involve the support if needed.

Meanwhile you can check if the NSR firmware is current.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Hi Torsten,

Thanks for your reply.

Re: Problem in MSL 6000 Library

???

The LAN connection for a MSL6000 is only for management, not for data transfer.

Do you have a NSR installed?

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Problem in MSL 6000 Library

Looks like Torsten's first response - check the library's NSR logs - should be your next step.

You could also check the logs of the Fibre Channel switch in between the library and the servers. Does the port to which the library is connected have a status of "Online" and "F-Port"? Does that port show excessive errors?
