While backing up policies, all 4 drives go to DOWN status, with error 803.
My NBU scan command gives this:

Vendor ID : "HP "
Product ID : "MSL6000 Series "

Drive 3 Serial Number : "HU108064C7"
Drive 4 Serial Number : "HU10738EUA"

Re: Problem on MSL 6000
I see from the above that the firmware of the library is at 5.18 which needs to be upgraded to 5.20.
If you could attach the NSR report we could check if there is anything else that might need attention.
Also we would like to know :
The version of LTO driver -
If this happens exclusively with he backup of policies and all other jobs run fine -
The error message 803 in netbackup in dicate the following ::
Message: JM terminating
Explanation: A service request for an existing or a new job was received when the nbjm process was shutting down.

Enter the IP Address of the NSR in a web browser and login to the NSR. On the main page to the left is an option " Report" select that and select "save as" and save the file as Report.mht.
