Problem with my MSL6030 Loader with 460 LTO2 Drive
Running CA Brightstor Arcserve Backup on Linux I am having problems with my backup sessions crashing. I have already loaded latest firmware on drive and loader, ran multiple cleanings, reinstalled RHEL and BAB software to latest versions of both but sessions are still crashing. I set the backup software to debug/SCSI level and am seeing the following info in the log when the jobs crash:
Drv(0,1,0) Cmd= CDB.6: 03 00 00 00 40 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
scsi_send_cmd(0100) ccb_.ccs=2 ccb_.tc=64, sense_xfer=16 sense_status=2
Drive SerNo (0,1,0) Cmd= Request Sense Data: f1 00 03 00 00 00 08 0e 00 00 00 00 0c 00
00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
Media Error
Write Error
Slot 24 Media Name VOL1 is being marked as Write Protected.
asms_media Entered: dev = B7988C08 dev->isA = 3
Drv(0,1,0) Cmd= CDB.6: 10 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
The Media is not write protected rather the software will mark it write protected after the backup fails. Also this doesn't happen right away. Sometimes it will write some data bfore it fails. Also these failures are random they don't always fail while writing any specific set of data.
Any help would be appreciated.! Mitchel
