Shalom,

A tape library is a device or infrastructure that lets a system or systems access more tapes than there are physical tape drives. A mechanical system is usually included to permit the system to change tapes without human intervention for the purpose of for example making a backup that exceeds the size of a single tape.

Agreed with Steven,
But this defination is also suitable for Autoloaders.
The autoloaders have only a 'single' Tape Drive & a Library have 'more than one' Tape Drive.

That should clear up the things
