Repeated "Unsafe Removal of Device" Message Box

I have a clean install of a new TL891DLX 40/80GB to a Proliant 1600 600mhz with Windows 2000 Server. Device manager shows all devices functioning with either HCL drivers (Dual Chnl. Wide Ultra 3 SCSI Card) or W2K published drivers for the library.

I keep getting a 'laptop' like error message of Unsafe Removal of Device - talking about safely unplugging and/or ejecting devices. This error message only occurs when the library is powered on... no other devices causing this as far as I can tell.

Would be happy just to learn how to disable this pop-up message, got in this morning and the server had 170 instances of this error.
