Restore NTFS Permissions

We use HP Data Protector 5.1 to backup our file servers.

We ran a chkdsk on one drive over the weekend and lost some of the NTFS file permissions.

Is there any way we can restore just the permissions from an earlier backup on HPDP without actually restoring any data?

I know how to do this in ARCserve and also Backup Exec however not sure in HPSD.

We could do restore and not if already there however if a user has deleted data it will come back.

Any suggestions welcome!
