SCSI Cable

SCSI Cable

The cable that comes with the compaq DLT VS 40/80 is a SCSI-3 to SCSI-5 cable. The card I would like to use is a SCSI-3 card. Does anyone know if I can replace the manufacturer-supplied cable with a SCSI-3 to SCSI-3 cable and what the caveats might be.

Thanks

Re: SCSI Cable

Hi,
If your SCSI-card is compatible with the drive (LVD or SE, not HVD) there should not be any problem replacing the cable.
