SCSI ID conflict

I installed my HP SureStore DLT 818, after installation, I noticed that one of my mirrored Drives is no longer accessible and device cannot be attached..Can anyone help me..thanks

I assume you attached this to built-in SCSI HBA. The recommendation on tape devices is to use a separate SCSI HBA.
Anyway, the 818 will use 2 SCSI IDs. You can check/set them from the front panel using:
(next until you see Admin *)
(enter, enter x3 for default password)
(next until you see SCSI ID *)
from there you can either view ids (view IDs *)
or set ids (set IDs *).

Yes, a dedicated card is highly recommended.
First, you'll have difficulty streaming the DLT8000 drive if you have an active disk on the same bus.
Second, the 818 was not tested with built-in chipsets in PCs. Testing was limited to external cards like the adaptec 2940UW.
