SCSI problem, what do I need?
I have a DDS4 tape drive, C6368A, that I want to attach to my C3600. The back of the drive says it is a Wide-LVD/SE SCSI.
I have a SCSI adapter, A4107A FWD SCSI-2.
It seems these are not compatible.
Is there an adapter card available for this drive?
P.S. This thread has been moved from General to Tape Libraries and Drives. - Hp Forum Moderator

Re: SCSI problem, what do I need?
Your C3600 should have SE SCSI / LVD SCSI port on the back. Your tape drive would plug into that fine.

just set your tape drive to ID 3 or some other free one and it will work fine

Re: SCSI problem, what do I need?
I took a spare C3600 with a fresh install of HP-UX 11.11. I removed the terminator from the back and put it on the tape drive. I installed a good SCSI cable, turned on the tape drive and powered up the system. The boot process was normal but the login process was 10 times slower. I started xstm and the tape drive was not shown. I started SAM and there were no tape drives but the driver was in the kernel.
What I am looking for is a SCSI adapter card for this tape drive.
