SOS!!!! T4000 tape drive problem

This is what's happening....

a NT4 sp6a server with internal HP T4000 tape drive.

It works fine.

After I took out the tape, and inserted another tape (used), the tape drive is reporting an error...'Recognizable Data'.

No matter which tape I inserted, it says the same thing.

Help! What is wrong and how do I fix it?
