SSL1016 DLT1 with HP Proliant ML570 smart array 641/642 Problem Data Protector 5.1

Can anyoane help me? We have a Tape Autoloader SSl1016 DLT1 and ML570 Proliant Server. Autoloader is instaled on smart array 641/642 single. The Problem is : medium charger support is not detected and Data Protector 5.1 Software give message: no robotic library detected.

Have you tried to configure the changer on one of the built-in SCSI ports? I don't think the SA adapters are supported by DP as they're specialized for arrays, not general SCSI I/O.

According to the specs, the ML570 has in internal dual channel Ultra3 SCSI controller. One of those 2 channels should have an external connector on the back on the server that you can use to connect the SSL1016.
