Have you tried scaning with HP Librar & Tape Tools, then update the firmware from that tool letting it to download the firmware from the web?

Download HP Library and Tape Tools from
www.hp.com/support/tapetools

If Im not wrong, the latest version fro SSL2020 is 4.16

I am trying to downgrade SSL2020 Firmware to 4.16. Using "hp StorageWorks library and tape tools" I need a passwort to start the downgrade.
