Slave Mode.
Hi,
Customer has set a standalone TL891 2 drive, 10 tape library into Slave mode from the front LCD menu. Library now boots and errors with no way of getting round it!
Is there a way to reset the library or is this a maintenance job?

Re: Slave Mode.
For those that may get the same problem:
Switch off the TL891 and remove the plate at the back of the device.
Switch on the TL891 and wait for the initialisation.
Switch off the TL891 and re-fit the plate at the rear of the device.
Switch on the TL891 - the unit will now be reconfigured as a master device.

Would you please kindly point out specifically which part is the "PLATE AT THE BACK OF THE DEVICE"? (Which Plate? On which DEVICE?) We think by doing the same thing you did, we may be able to solve our problem, which is quite similar to what's decribed in the original message. Also, what is the purpose of removing and then re-fitting this PLATE?
Thank you in advance.
