Storage Works DAT 72 connecting using a USB2xchange

Hi guys,


I have a DAT 72 running here with my desk pc running Win XP PRO. I have a usb to scsi interface cable the adaptec usb2xchange connecting them together. I can get windows to see the connector cable but not the drive. I do not have the correct drivers for the DAT for windows and can not install or find them. I have found an update but can not force the driver onto the system. So windows will not even look for a tape backup device even through the enulated scsi coneection.

Can anyone help? The driver version i have is
v1.05.0.1. I am using the lastest version of tapeware + the other analysis tool downloadable from the web? Any ideas?

I have also set the scsi bus identifer to 0 on the tape drive as the adaptec converter is preset to 7.
