StorageWorks DAT 72 USB: Determine bytes written to disk with compression enabled

Hi,

I use a StorageWorks DAT72 USB tape drive together with NTBackup. NTBackup is configured to use the hardware compression provided by the tape drive.

But: NTBackup just tells me the amount of bytes written to the tape drive. It is not aware of the compression factor the tape drives achieves. Now I'm wondering if it is somehow possible to determine the effective amount of bytes, written to the tape.
