Sure Store DLT 80i with LH 3000
Hi,
is ist possible to connect the Surestore 80i or the external model to the integrated scsi controller of the server? Older Models (the non U3 models have a slower Adaptec 2940 onboard controller) . Can I expect problems with this configuration or is the controller still fast enough for this device?
Regards
Christian

Re: Sure Store DLT 80i with LH 3000
Hello,
Yes, that would bring you problems... the 2940 is a SE SCSI controller, which is too slow for your DLT80i.
You need at least an Ultra2 controller. The 39160 is good or 29160 are ok for this drive.
HTH,
Vince
