SureStore DAT 24e, Restore
When we are trying to catalog and restore backup sets in NTBackup, we get the â Catalog Warningâ message â This set is compressed and cannot be viewed or restoredâ . It wouldnâ t even let us select (check) the sets or the tape for restoring.

Re: SureStore DAT 24e, Restore
Hi ?
This could be for so many, various reasons...
did you verify the backup when you ran it ?? - do you have the same admin-rights as the person that made the backup ?? - did you make the backup on the same computer ?? - does the PC have the latest servicepacks ?? -have you recently upgraded the servicepacks and accidentally overwitten the scsi driver(from the scsi manufacturer or the computer company; if an onboard hba) and tape drivers (hpdat.sys if your running w2k) with the one's for mickeysoft ?? - have you tried to run a complete restore without catalogeing the media first ??
etc etc - need more input to answer you question... ie OS and sp level - scsi hba and driver info - and the answers to the questions above......plus anything extra ....
