I have a SureStore DAT 24x6e that I have been using to backup NT 4 with Exchange 5.5 using Backup Exec 8.5. Out of the blue I am now unable to get backups I continually receive Cyclic Redundancy Errors. I have tried cleaning the drive 5+ times in a row, updated the firmware etc... and am running out of things to do. Is this a sign the drive's failing?
Thanks
Thanks

Solution
Hi Chris:
The bad news is probably yes but first check the cabling and termination. If you have another machine with a scsi controller and cabling, you could move the drive to that box. If the troubles moves with the drive then you have your answer but this is fairly typical of a drive 'goin South'.
Regards, Clay

If it ain't broke, I can fix that.
