SureStore DAT8

Hi,

I had a exist SureStore DAT8 which connect with SUN Server E250. It has been use a while and work all fine. Just today the cartridge keep auto eject when insert cartridge into DAT8.

Could anyone can tell me why and how to solve it.

Are you using the right cartridge?
If you're inserting a DDS3 125meter cartridge in a DDS2 drive (like the DAT8) is then it will be ejected immediately.
Otherwise, it's possible that the tapedrive is broken, they're quite fragile.

catridge can be ejected for different cause

try with a cleaning catridge to see if it perform the right task(two-tree minuts)

if also with the cleaning catridge this appear, perform a power cycle, keeping the server down for two minuts, at reboot time the dat will perform a initialization of electronic and mechanic.
