SureStore DLT70 C5658A
Hi,
i want to connect a SureStore DLT70 (HP C5658) external tape drive to a HP9000/D380 with HP-UX 10.20 to use it with fbackup, because the capacity of the internal DDS2-Tape is to low.
Is there anybody who knows if it works, and how to realize ?

Re: SureStore DLT70 C5658A
Hello,
The DLT7000 interface is 8bit SCSI-2 Single Ended. The D380 should have a Single-Ended SCSI-2 port at the rear. So you should connect the DLT7000 to it using an appropriate cable. Don't forget to terminate.
HTH,
Vince

Hi there.
Just another hint :
no daisy chaining other devices on that interface, because that would take away bandwidth necessary for the DLT.
