SureStore DLT80 tape drives
Hi,
I have a SureStore DL80 tape drive but I want to know the part number of it. Its internal but it has two stickers on it each with a different number - C5725 and C7456. Which one is correct?
Many thanks,
Mark P.

Re: SureStore DLT80 tape drives
According to partsurfer.hp.com:
C5725A - HP DLT 80 Internal (flint) Tape Drive
C7456A - SureStore DLT 80m Low Voltage Differential SCSI (LVDS) DLT tape drive module
So, it could be either one.
What does 'ioscan -kfnC tpae' show?

Re: SureStore DLT80 tape drives
C5725A is on the drive itself, C7456A is on the metal frame.

Re: SureStore DLT80 tape drives
Usually when I call in a part to HP for replacement, they want the part number that ends in -001

Re: SureStore DLT80 tape drives
A1234-69001 are classic HP spare parts,
123456-001 are classic compaq numbers.
Nowadays you can find both, depending on the product.
Some tape drive even have both numbers.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
